Franprix - , a supermarket located within 300 meters of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, provides daily necessities at an affordable price. The store is always crowded because of its convenient location and complete range of products. However, what sets Franprix apart from other supermarkets is its excellent customer service. One guest recounts a positive experience with an older gentleman who went above and beyond to assist him and his wife. The staff at Franprix are always busy and replenishing stock, ensuring that the shelves are always well-stocked with fresh produce and other essential items. This small supermarket, which offers a similar shopping experience to Trader Joe's, is ideal for travellers and tourists visiting Paris, and it enjoys high praise among both locals and visitors alike. Franprix - operates from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM every day, except on Sundays when it opens at 9 AM and closes at 8 PM.
Reviews
The supermarket is very close to the Eiffel Tower and 300 meters away from the hotel. The daily necessities are very complete, which is much cheaper than the roadside shop, and it is very busy.
Terrible store for the center of Paris. The prices for products never correspond to reality. Every time you have to find out what the actual price is and deal with the salespeople. All the staff make the appearance of maximum dissatisfied and when they see you, to tourists disdainful attitude. Hey, guys, I didn't come to your house to buy!
Wonderful store and great proximity for us, but that isn’t why I decided to write this.
I give this place 5 stars because of the employees, especially one older gentlemen who treated myself and my wife in the most welcoming fashion. When we scanned one of our items and needed help to fix our error he had a great sense of humor and was helpful. While dealing with us there was a young group from the Netherlands and they also were having issues scanning their food. He treated them so well and had fun with everyone.
I wish I had asked for his name because he truly deserved some recognition.
Avoid at all costs. Check what you buy before leaving. The food is off. The grated cheese I bought was mouldy. And because it was still in-date they refused a simple reimbursement for a bad product. Always print your ticket even when given the choice not to. It's a very tricky operation.
(The Franprix on Rue de Lourmel is much nicer and the staff are adorable there.)
Amazing grocery store. Kind of Trader Joe's vibes. It's small (compared to a supermarket) but has everything we need on a regular basis. Great for tourists and travellers.
Useful little supermarket by American standards. Good prices and selection
Not all the staff don't speak English.
They have self checkout which makes it a simple shopping trip.
Bakery items are good and reasonable price.
The only good Supermarket near the eiffel tower, everything else is a mess and not well stocked due to tourism. Make the trip here, it's worth it.
Really enjoyed going here to get food and supplies during my visit to Paris. Good selection of cheese, wine, and other snacks for the hotel.
